Stubbers Adventure Centre has been serving the schools and local communities of Essex and London for 20 years now. As a registered charity and “not for profit” organisation you can be sure that our focus is on the quality of the experience we offer young people and not on our profit. This year Stubbers Adventure Centre not only won Havering Business Awards – Growing business of the year but also was voted Essex Mums Best Holiday Camp thanks to the hard work of our staff, loyalty of our customers and contribution to the local community.

At Stubbers we are committed to providing high quality adventurous activities in a safe and fun environment. To make sure we provide the highest level of supervision SMASH is a voluntary member of Ofsted, who supply us with strict guidelines to ensure the Standard of care is excellent.

Following a yearly inspection we are a licensed provider under the Activity Centres (Young Persons’ Safety) Act 1995 and the Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations 2004 through the Adventure Activities Licensing Service.

Stubbers Adventure Centre was awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge in 2009 for not only our commitment to engage in high quality learning outside the classroom but in our successful delivery. To retain this award our bookings and operational systems, practices and activities are inspected by the LOtC every 2 years. We also insure all our staff have a Disclosure Barring Service Check (previously CRB).

All our activities are run to National Governing Body (NGB) guidelines.

Trips away from home form an important part of developing life skills and confidence and we are proud to be a part of your child’s education. A trip to Stubbers gives young people the valuable opportunity to learn and develop social and interpersonal skills with confidence through participation in adventurous activities.

We will work with parents, schools and group leaders to ensure that your child’s experience is enjoyable.

All our programmes are designed to encourage successful learning, building positive attitudes, giving encouragement to others and experiencing the benefits of peer support through a variety of challenges and experiences.

Led by a highly trained and experienced
team of adventure professionals you can
be assured of your child’s safety and focus
on encouraging them to get the most out
of their trip.

We hope your child has a trip to remember,

Ben Woodcock
